Advertising Students Take A Bite Out of Agency Life

There’s never a dull moment around here! That was especially true when we hosted a group of UTEP (University of Texas at El Paso) students for an Advertising Agency Shadow Day. This is typically an opportunity for students to visit with professionals and learn about their day-to-day duties.

We thought, why not change it up and make things a lot more interesting and interactive? After a brief introduction and a few corny jokes, we put them straight to work on a “hot” project that required they develop a creative direction for a fictitious client and campaign we developed in advance. How’s that for the real agency experience?

We gave them the day to define a demo, work on their positioning and even develop branding. Every couple of hours we checked in on their progress, asked questions, made suggestions then let them get back to work. It was a great experience for everyone and we can’t wait to share the results with our readers! Stay tuned, amigos.
