Ruben Aguayo

Graphic Designer

“Solving any problem is more important than being right.” – Milton Glaser

Meet Ruben — one of our go-to people for all things ingenious. When he's not dropping beats at a DJ gig, he's busy conjuring up illustrations and animations that dance into life. But it's not just about the art scene for Ruben – he's also a bona fide El Paso foodie. You can catch him red-handed, munching away at Sabretooth or Taconeta when he's in need of a quick bite. And if he's got his romance hat on, you'll spot him orchestrating a swoon-worthy dinner at Café Italia for his lucky girlfriend. Look at you, Cupid!

Kicking off his journey as our intern, Ruben didn't just bring his talents; he practically carried an entire design division in his back pocket. From illustration to 3D animation, Ruben can truly do it all. He currently fronts the creation of dynamic visual designs and animations that have more flair than a red-carpet event. His creative conjuring knows no bounds, adding a touch of awe to the ordinary with any project he works on.

Fun fact: Driven by his keen eye for details and design, Ruben originally wanted to be an architect. However, he chose to break free from the limitations of designing buildings alone. And boy, are we glad he did.

What attracted you to working in marketing and advertising?

Marketing drives the world through design and analytics, and I wanted the opportunity to grow my creativity through the more professional side of Graphic Design. Going into the marketing field I had minimal knowledge and wanted to grow my skills from what I taught myself and what my peers could teach me. The boundaries that I have been able to push at this moment have surprised me because I hadn’t fully tested myself to that extent.

What approach or philosophy do you apply to your profession?

Nothing is ever complete, there is always room for improvement and learning should be something that becomes part of your everyday life, personally and professionally.
